Dr. Kenmai "Camila" Candelario, M.D. is a recurring character on New Amsterdam. Prior to Max Goodwin's introduction to New Amsterdam, Candelario is head of the Emergency Department's night shift. After Lauren Bloom goes to rehab, however, she assumes role as Head of the department.

Candelario is a reserved ER doctor at New Amsterdam Medical Center and the subordinate of Lauren Bloom during the day but is head of the department at night. She is regimented and confident in her abilities as a surgeon. When Lauren is sent to rehab, Candalerio is made head of the department and assumes all of Bloom's former duties.
