SEASON TWO

In the second season, Dr. Hartman in most significant in that he was the lead attending who was treating Georgia Goodwin (Dr. Max Goodwin's late wife). Georgia was brought into the ED by Dr. Kapoor, then consulted and taken to the OR by Dr. Hartman, where she unfortunately passed. It seemed as though Dr. Max Goodwin (Medical Director) had it out for him, as he seemed responsible for her death.

Later on, Dr. Hartman is interrogated by Dr. Goodwin for a neurosurgical case in S2, E7, where a patient's surgery was botched. The patient had a misplaced disk that was unnecessary, causing her to become paralyzed. When found out, Dr. Goodwin and Dr. Helen Sharpe (Co-Chair of Oncology & Hematology) reviewed the case report, where they had learned that Dr. Hartman was a first year resident that was in the OR during this case. When observed, Dr. Hartman knew what the attending had done was wrong, so he reported the malpractice to the Dean of Medicine at the time, Dr. Peter Fulton, M.D. (Dean of Medicine, Former). This was all explained to Dr. Goodwin when he spoke with Dr. Hartman. It was revealed that Dr. Fulton has actually covered up the malpractice, which was discovered by Dr. Goodwin and Karen Brantley, MBA (Head of NAMC Board of Directors, Former) after visiting Dr. Fulton. As a side note, it is unknown as to whether of not this story is based off of the story of Dr. Death (Texas Neurosurgeon version), as the story is very similar to his patients.

After these storylines, Dr. Hartman did not have any significant involvement within stories.
